The study was conducted by looking at health data of 1231 men and women, with an average age of 61.5, who were heart patients that were referred to vascular prevention clinics at London Health Sciences Centre's University Hospital. Higher number of egg yolks consumed per week by a person accelerates the thickening of arteries almost as severely as done by cigarette smoking.
